Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

Steady Dad ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our landing page at steady-dad.com or use the Steady Dad iOS application.

1. Information We Collect

Landing Page Data

When you visit our landing page, the following information is collected automatically:

  • IP address — captured by our hosting provider's server logs for security, debugging, and traffic analysis. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to personally identify you.
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) events — we use GA4 to understand how visitors interact with our site (e.g., page views, button clicks, scroll depth, and the generate_lead event when you click a call-to-action button). This data is anonymized and aggregated. You can opt out of GA4 tracking via Google's Browser Add-on or your browser's do-not-track settings.
  • Meta Pixel events — we use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site. This includes standard events such as PageView and Lead (fired when you click a call-to-action button). You can manage your ad preferences through Meta's Ad Preferences.

We do not collect email addresses on our landing page. There is no newsletter signup, waitlist, or contact form that requires personal information.

App Data

The Steady Dad iOS app is designed to keep your data on your device:

  • Local-only storage — your saved favorites, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this data to our servers or any third party.
  • Optional notifications — if you enable daily reminder notifications, we use Apple's local notification system. No notification data leaves your device.
  • StoreKit subscriptions — all subscription transactions ($3.99/month or $27.99/year, including the 3-day free trial) are processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information, billing address, or purchase history. Apple manages auto-renewal, cancellation, and refund requests.
  • No personally identifiable information (PII) is transmitted from the app to us or any third party.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or process:

  • Names, postal addresses, or phone numbers
  • Precise or coarse location data
  • Contacts, photos, videos, or camera access
  • Health data, biometrics, or medical information
  • Device identifiers used for tracking across apps
  • Browsing history outside of our landing page

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services:

  • Apple Inc. — App Store distribution, StoreKit subscriptions, and iCloud (if you choose to back up your device data through iCloud). Apple's privacy practices are governed by their Privacy Policy.
  • Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 for landing page analytics. Google's privacy practices are described in their Privacy Policy.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — Meta Pixel for advertising measurement. Meta's data practices are described in their Privacy Policy.

4. Your Rights

Data Deletion

Because the Steady Dad app stores all data locally on your device, the most complete way to delete your data is to uninstall the app. This removes all locally stored favorites, settings, and preferences. If you have iCloud backup enabled, your app data may be included in your device backup; you can manage or delete iCloud backups through your iOS Settings.

For landing page analytics data collected by GA4 or Meta Pixel, you can use the opt-out mechanisms described in Section 1, or contact us (see Section 7) and we will request deletion on your behalf to the extent technically feasible.

GDPR (European Economic Area)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities
  • Data portability, where applicable
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

We process landing page data based on our legitimate interest in understanding site traffic and improving our service, and on your consent for cookie-based tracking where required. App data is not processed by us because it remains solely on your device.

CCPA / CPRA (California)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

We do not sell personal information. The limited data we collect through GA4 and Meta Pixel may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out using the mechanisms described in Section 1.

5. Children's Privacy

Steady Dad is rated 17+ on the App Store and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. Because app data is stored locally on your device, its security also depends on your device security settings (e.g., passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID).

7. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at hello@steadydad.app.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
